Technology Licensing Office(TLO) is responsible for managing the intellectual property(IP) assets of Seoul National University Hospital. We collect all kinds of inventions and evaluate to decide whether patent them. Together with the inventors, we try to find companies which are interested in the invention for negotiating a licensing agreement. In order to facilitating these processes, we promote TLO’s activities and importance of IP management to all faculty members, staffs and hospital employees.
Through these activities, we aims at enhancing our capability as a national R&D-centered hospital as well as establishing a new profit model for the hospital’s investment to further research including incentives for inventors and inventors’ departments.
